Bread Making Demo with Rose Stubbs

On 6th February, a fascinating day was had by all who attended the latest of the Friends ‘Practical’ events.

After early morning coffee Rose invited us all to sample various breads from around Europe. She then demonstrated the art of bread making, making it look ridiculously simple, before letting us all loose to create our own loaves to take home with us. A vast array of different loaves eventually came out of the ovens, all looking extremely mouth watering.

Following a light lunch, Rose demonstrated the making of Chelsea Buns – which we then sampled with our afternoon tea before returning home with our home made bread, and a sense of achievement.
